stick with bosch
I'm not too informed on the version your referring to though but in my opinion and overall knowledge of what I've seen Bosch is dependable, nicely priced, and has applications for everyone's needs

Rumor says Bosch works nice for imports. DOHC engines and SOHC seems to have nice effects. If not Bosch I'd definitely tell you NGK plugs.

Sorry I took so long to answer. I don't pay much attention to this forum. I've tried about 5 different spark plugs on the 2.0L. The Bosch +2 were the only ones that yielded a performance gain over stock. The Bosch +4 might work as well. I didn't get that far, though, since the +2 are much cheaper than the +4 and they worked so I didn't feel the need to try the more expensive ones. The +4 are the same type of Platinum electrodes and such as the +2, but have 4 prongs instead of 2. So they may work well also if that's all you can find. But here, the +2 cost about 40% less.

Thanks for your replies!
And lakersfan, thank you.

Back in January, I found one spark plug which gave quite a lot of performance gain.....but it costed US$128, and after few days, ruined one of my spark plug wires, and so i took it out......and I can't remember which one it was.

But I"ll definatley get the +4. How much performance gain do you get out of it? Very noticeable, or just a small difference?

It's not like this engine is all that strong. After all, it's just replacing spark plugs, not adding a super charger. But most of the other plugs were actually WORSE than the stock plugs. The Bosch gave a slight improvement in power, smoother idle, and an extra mile or two per gallon. All in all, reasonable I think for just a spark plug swap.

I use the Bosch +4 plugs in my Audi and love them.

I agree with the NGK opinion as well......I love 'em. In the world of motorcycles, there is NO other plug. I also used them in the Vee-dubs for autocross...that's what most people were running.

Is there anyway I can pre-determine whether the Bosch +4 will be better or NGK?
