This is my Current system.
Alpine CD player with 3 pre amp and 45x4.
Door 2 5 1/4" Pioneer 3 way Polly Liquid filled Speakers.
Rear Deck 2 5 1/4" Sonys.
Trunk 2 Rockford XLC's.

I just bought a Punch 800a. To power the Subs and I currently have an Old Lanzer 300W amp that I am gonna use to power the door speakers.
My question is this. What kind of special installation considerations must I take before I begin installing the 2 amps. The car is currently wired with 10 gage power line to the trunck with a 30amp inline fuse. and a Chassis Ground. Is this to small for my punch 800? Do I need to get a power cap? New Battery? PLEASE HELP.

There are several things yu will want to do. Yes a 30 amp fuse and 10 gauge wire are a little small for full utilization of your new amps. I think i will wait and see if one of the experienced installers has some tips before i try to tackle this one.

Did you happen to notice the DUAL 8ga inputs and grounds on the 800a2???
4ga should be the minmum from the front with one of those babies. Be prepared for about 60 amps worth of draw too, just from the 800a2.
I suggest a wafer style ANL fuseholder with a 100 amp fuse.

Ok Today I ran a 4 guage about 12 inches then a Rockford fuse block with 60 amp fuse(is this still to small)then another 19 feet to the trunk.
the RCA cables and remote run from head unit to the trunk I have spliced the remote at the drivers seat where I have the Lanzar. In the trunk I have a Monster power block 1 4 guage in 4 8 guage out. i ran 2 of the 8 guage to the punch 800 and one of the 8 guage back up under the drivers seat to the lanzer. do I need to put a seperate inline fuse on this line that is smaller for the lanzer?
Im using 8 guage to ground both amps to the chassis.
One last thing the 2 KLCs are in a band pass box in the trunk. If you are familiar with a 97 200sx u will know that there is a hole behind the back seat that goes to the trunk if u lay the seat down. here is my question. Is it better for me to face the ports on the bandpass box towards the seat or towards the the bumper? the box is flush with the seat.
