Hey Gary
Do you remember Eddie Taylor's GMC that David and I built back in the day. I still hate his brother for what he did to it.

The Regal, is gone..... off to a new home. The new owner has no intention of changing anything, as we (JBL ) have new product available and if I think it would be a good upgrade then he'll bring it back for updates. So well see how it goes, should be interesting. He plans on competitng with it, and Texas Heat-Wave in Austin will be its first show with him campaigning it.

Gary, I was looking at the pictures in CA&E and was wondering how your dash was mounted. Also, it said that the enclosure for your mid was .5 cu ft? Is that total internal volume?

I had the opportunity to listen to your car 2 times with the JBL install in it...I was blown away by how good it sounded...and then I was blown away by how simple it was.
simple 2way with lots of power...seems to be the way to go.

The dash is held on with 2 bolts. you cant tell in the photos. but very easy to install and remove.
internal volume is almost .5
There is also a 4 inch vent in each enclosure.
Yes the car has always been very simple and basic, I have never led to anything but that, part of the mystery is just how simple it was.

did you have any 4" midbasses upfront? Cuz if you did that, you'd be the hit.

No 4 inch mid bass, I wanted to borrow them from Richard but Mark was borrowing them already... LOL the 4 inch vent was created by removing the big rubber bulky grommet that allows the wiring to go between the door and the door jamb, I glued in metal mesh and stuffed it with long hair lambs wool.
