Trans Am

I have a 98 Trans am with the optional Monsoon stereo system and i was wondering where my amps are located in the car and what kind of speakers are in the back seats by each persons shoulder (midbass, component, etc,)??? I am looking to replace them because they only produce snowy sounds and would make popping sounds when my stereo was turned up to high.......

Your amp is behind the spare tire, kinda hard to see, but there.

were you able to keep your steering wheel controls when you went with the Pioneer headunit?

if not, here is a link that may interest you.

I bought my interface from them, with the same headunit, but different car.

here is another good resoure on the monsoon system, if you need it.
