I posted this in RC forum, but I figured it's better suited for the performance gurus too...

Phil,

I don't qual as a guru but I was wondering about this myself. I read something about this very topic in Import tuner. If I remember correctly they did get a dyno proven improvement in HP buy using a grounding system (can't remember company name) I'll try to find the mag tonight and post what they put in it.

Phil,

I looked at the Import tuner concerning the grounding system. They tested 3 cars a slightly modified car (can't remember the make) it had intake and header and exhaust. The grounding system made about 2Hp on average. the 2nd car was a highly modified RX-7 twin turbo. At certain rpm it make almost 11hp and made about 8hp on average. The third car was a slightly modded maxima, This car made some gains,I think @5hp on average, but nothing to really write home to mom about. My take on it is, if you have done everything else to the car and your looking for the last inth of power, Heck the grounding system would be worth it. If not I can think of other ways for find power.

I'm with Ralph on this for the price of those grounding systems a UDP, works wonders for a simple bolt on
Or if you got a turbo car. a simple upgrade like BOV, or better wastegate, or boost controller etc...

It also seemed to have a greater effect on older cars...possibly meaning there is corrosion at various contact points.
