Ok heres a question for some professionals. Today I went outside and was trying to start up my truck and it wasnt starting which isnt normal at all. I smell some gas so I figure that its just flooded. So Im sitting there with my foot on the gas trying to start it and nothing. So I open the hood and what do I see. Nothing but ashes. My whole distributor cap and spark plug wires completely melted to ash. The only thing I can see is that the fuel line leaked and caught fire but wouldnt something even worse happen. the hose was in very good shape so I know for a fact that it wasnt cracked. Could someone have maybe cut it for this to happen. That still doesnt explain why my whole truck didnt blow from the fuel. One funny thing is is that I never once smelt burnt rubber or plastic. Can someone tell me if this is sabatage or is it just my luck that something out of the ordinary just had to happen to me like always. If it helps its a 79' Ford F150 with a 351 winsor. Thanks for your help. Another thing that is the reason why I am so ****ed about this is cause I was just starting to save for a new hei. Hell if I had the money I would go for it, but being I just got paid and my check basically went to insurance and rent leaves me hangin with $150 which its gonna cost around 140 to do it myself.
