OK... i will let the cat out of the bag... This is a joke, DEI takes the credit for it and isn't the designer of it, someone else is that I know. Second, most Benz's you can take the 8 pin blaupunkt speaker connector and plug into the back of the headunit, 4 channels out high level 20-20k.

now who loves ya? how much was that adapter :cough: :bend over:

I was wondering if you could explain this a little bit. We have had a few mercedes lately that sales told the customer we had to change out everything not just the head unit like they wanted. Today for example we had an 05 C class come in with the big black double dinish head unit face. could we just change out the head and "play through the fiber optic" or does it all need to be changed out? What needs to be done?

Thanks for any help.

The fiber optic cables don't carry simple PCM digital audio. Read the MOST spec at www.mostcooperation.org (http://www.mostcooperation.org).

This should do it. Peripheral engineering, design, testing and verification. Anyone interested? Alpha tests complete, beta testers welcome :-)

Chris, what is the difference between yours and NAV-Tv's? who's been shipping there's for a while now. Also on the discription of the link, it says an audio input for back up camera... WTF are we listening for crickets? just messing with you

Chris, that appears to be an aux input / iPod interface, not an audio output interface.

Crickets are important you know ;-) . leave it to marketing guys to create new "features" without consulting the R&D team. As you figured, no back-up camera input...

You are correct, RCA's for audio input (AUX) and mini-DIN for included iPod cable.
