I have an xtant a3001 300watts at 2ohms. I dont have the money for a new amp, but i want the best boom for my buck, I have a dual 12" sealed box 1.0 cu. ft. per sub already and am wondering if i should seal up one of the holes and port the box,and use one sub, or if I should buy two subs and keep the box sealed. I am also looking for recomendations on subwoofers!

... or be a real man and build your own box smile.gif

IDQ might be a good economical sub, depending on your budget.

probably less than 400 for the sub or subs

the JL Audio W0 are a good sub for the money, they dont take a lot of power and the will be really loud in a ported box....if you get a shop to build a box you will be right about your price range maybe a little over depending on your area and how much the shops charge for that kinda thing around you....if you build it yourself you will be way under your budget even if you mess up the first box.....installguy509

If you're looking to save money, the W0 is an excellent sub (I'm seconding what installguy is saying ;) ). My friend has had his 12 incher for a pretty long time, has put it through hell, and it still sounds great for a "bottom of the barrel" sub. Bottom of the barrell meaning its the lowest grade sub JL makes.
