Good Subin .5 cubic box

I am looking for a sub that would fit in 0.5 cubic feets box. I dont want to go SPL I want sound quality and a sub that can be used at low level. Don't need a realy hogh power, just want it to sound good.

I am listening rock, classic music and of course some radio. IU am not a boum boum thicka booum guy. I thougth of a 10 inches and my budget is around 150$ I will do my own box so the money is for the driver alone. The dealers around here (Montreal) dont have sub in demo so I can't listen to them.

I have been suggested JL audio JL10W04 and Rockford. What is your opinion?

If you have any suggestions for amps it would be great too.

If you are looking for bass with only .5 cubes, you need to try jl audio 6WOs. 2 6WOs in that are is perfect ported. You will need 2 1.5" ports 10.5 long. we just did this in an 86 chevy full size with 150 watts total and it was amazing!!!!!
The Subs sell for around $79 each.
