Ok, everybody talks about being loud. But how about without your precious woofer walls? What about just sheer ear splitting mid range and tweeters. I like to build systems that not only boom, but will make ya squint every time the snare drum snaps or the lead guitar wails! How 'bout the rest of ya? What's your combo for sheer volume?

Well, my set of four JL Audio 5x7"s with a set of dual Eclipse tweets in the corners, hooked up to a JL Audio 300/4 amp... I think it sounds really damn good for as loud as it gets, but that's just me. Working on a pair of 12W3's in a ported box hooked to a JL Audio 500/1 monoblock amp to top it off...

What's the matter? Nobody remember what a speaker smaller than a 10 sounds like with an amplifier? Geez, takes more than woofers to be really LOUD! Everybody drive down the street listening to 50hz? Duhhhh!

I actually tried doing that with 48hz but it became too much of a problem when I started shooting too many people from the insanity of it and bullets got expensive...
Ha ha ha just kidding... yeah you're right, you gotta hear a nice, crisp high-hat or snare drum coming out of your door once in a while!!!
