I'll be there.
I'll also be in Boaz, Alabama the next day for a MECA show to points share with IASCA.

This event just changed to just an IdBL event. Sammy will be doing the event along with Undefined Customs Car Show. They canceled the Sound Quality part last week. Sorry for this but out of my control. I would concentrate my efforts on the Spartanburg event as it is a triple points event and Top 30 and there will be alot of give-aways. Look forward in seeing everyone and be careful in your travels. the floydstr

do 2 TKE top 3s get a guy into IASCA finals?

2 TKE wins doesn't get a guy into IASCA finals (unless IASCA backs off their stance of 35 points for a finals invite).
2 wins would only be 30 points. (5 points for 1st x3 for being a triple x2 for two shows).
If you are top 5 in your class for points, you will also get an invite. So two 3rd place finishes at two TKE's would give you 18 points. That may or may not be enough to get you in the top 5.

if its impossible to make finals i might as well not bring my car to either SC or NOPI, as there isnt any other IASCA show to get my points
what about IDBL, same thing?
Hard to find out this stuff, rulebook isnt online

top 5 in your region, or top 5 nationwide.
There are only 2 listed in my region

I don't know how close it is to most of you, but don't forget about the show in Charleston, SC also...
As well, we understand that not all areas have enough shows within a reasonable driving distance to allow you to accrue the required 35 points. So, if you are one of those in that situation, you can request an invitation to the Finals due to extenuating circumstances; in this case, not enough shows.
In the past couple of years, many have commented that we were too lax with our open Finals invite and recommended that we re-institute a points structure for Finals qualification. So, we did, and we understand there are going to be "exceptions to the rule". That is why we are trying to be as fair as we can to everyone; we can't penalize someone because there weren't enough shows in their area, it's not their fault...
Many want to compete, especially at Finals, but there aren't enough shows for them to reach the goal; therefore, top 5 in each region and requests for invites have been implemented.
Any IASCA member in good standing who does not have enough shows to compete at, within a 350 mile radius of them, to reach the required points for a Finals invite, can email me with a request for an invitation due to that extenuating circumstance.
I hope this helps clear things up, thanks!

thanks Moe,
I would like to bring 5 cars to finals from our store, and all five will make at least one TKE, but the nearest show to us is probably around 350 miles. I might be interested in hosting an IASCA show as well if there is an event director that would like to make that happen.

Brad, I would hope you guys could make it to the Spartanburg, SC event. It will be a great event to have your vehicles judged prior to the finals. It will also be alot of fun with alot of give-aways. If I can help in anyway please let me know. Be careful in your travels. Thanks for the help Justin you are on top of it for sure. the floydstr

Can someone confirm the Pre-registration information? If we don't preregister (IASCA portion), register at the event and will we still be able to park inside? it's roughly 350 miles for me.. but I need to get this last tuned up before going to finals (If I can get off from work that is)..

Jose, yes you can be inside if you do not pre-register, however - you have to be there before or at No Later Than Friday ay 8:30pm. If you arrive Saturday morning you might have to be judged outside if you are a SQ car.. Be careful in your travels. Jose send me your phone number the one I have for you does not work.

Yea, sorry about the Elba event again. But in Spartanburg it will be indoors (the Car Show and SQ) and lots to do. Hope to see everyone there in Spartanburg and can't wait to see who wins the "wing" eating contest. the floydstr

Come on to Boaz. Off the top of my head, I would suspect there will be 6 or 7 SQ vehicles at least.
Also, myself and someone else will be doing some compression driver testing with several different motors. Should be fun.
