I installed a viper 400 with external dual stage shock sensor and Backtalk 516p many years ago. Recently after purchasing a new vehicle I installed a Viper 300esp with enternal shock sensor. I am wondering how I can connect the 516p so that it will work. Currently it activates voice when arming, disarming and in full alarm. It will not work on the aux voice which previously worked as the first stage of the shock sensor as a "warn away". I have wiring diagrams for the backtalk and for the 300esp. Please help me in anyway possible.
Thank You.
You should be able to add an external 504D shock sensor, and wire it the same as your previous system.

I hooked up the Backtalk and sensor matching wire colors as per direction. Unit works exceot that when I turn the ignition off the Backtalk & sensor becomes active and triggers the "warn away". This happens regardless of whether the 300esp is arm or not. I would like it to only occurr when the alarm is armed. Any Thoughts?
Sounds like you need to diode isolate the starter kill wire so the Backtalk won't "see" ground back through the starter kill relay, but only when the orange wire goes to ground.

How exactly can I do this? what diode do I use?
1N4004 is ok, you add the diode in series between the starter kill relay and the orange wire from the alarm, with the striped end of the diode on the side facing the alarm. Then, the wire to the Backtalk connects on the alarm/striped side of the diode. That prevents the Backtalk from seeing the other side of the junction go low when you turn the key off.
