i have a excaliber1200 alarm which has a antitheft feature that when you start the car you have a minute to hit the valet switch if you fail it will sound the alarm which can't be stop unless you go through procedures to turn it off,the question "is there a way to make the car shut down with relays switches when the alarm goes off,and will you give the info to do it with"that way if i forget to arm my system and a low life was to start it and drive off he won't know where that valet switch is which is hidden well, but the alarm will go off, flashing lights, and if he turn it off and try to start it again the starter will become disabled, but whats the odd of that happening if i could get info on how to shut down the car they won't get that far at all i have a 85 olds delta88 sitting on gold dub's"20in rims"with a nice candy paint can yall help me out please with a way to make it shut down

Good God, it's a 12 line sentence. Could you try being a little more clear here? Remember, the key to getting answers isn't who you ask, it's how you ask- be specific.

Buy a DEI with VRS. It is illegal to sabotage your car to die when running. If someone took your car and drove off. Then the engine died and they drove into a group of school kids. Then it would be your fault.
What the DEI system does is...
1. The LED starts to flash
2. Then the lights and siren go off.
3. The remote will not deactivate the alarm.
4. They kill the car and try to stop the alarm.
5. The car will not start after it is turned off.
The only way to deactivate is push the valet switch or programmed ghost switch with the turn off sequence. This is set up by the installer.
I hope this was easy to read.
There is no stupid questions. Just stupid people.

Your only as good as your worst install.

blinger,

An engine needs three basic things to run....air, fuel, and spark. If you can interrupt one of them, the engine won't work.

Since your car has a mechanical fuel pump rather than an electrical one, it would be hard to stop the flow of gasoline.

It would be nearly impossible to keep air from getting into the carburetor.

This leaves is with spark.

Look at the distributor. At the bottom are a few wires plugged into it. (Not the big spark plug wires...just regular wires.) Unplug the red one that says 12V, and see if the car starts. If it doesn't...good...you found the wire you want to interrupt.

Go to www.the12volt.com (http://www.the12volt.com) and click on Relays. Learn how they work, and what each connector on the relay is for.

Wire the relay so that when the siren comes on, it activates the relay, breaking the connection to that wire going to the distributor.

(It is illegal to sabotage your car to die when running)
Where did you get that idea?
He could shut it down but it would not be safe to drive! How about shutting it down when he puts it into gear! And Or hits the brake?

In a case of a car jacking. When someone steals your car from you. If they drive off and the engine dies. That is illegal because you are endangering lives. That car will be a moving weapon.
In the case of a simple remote start if you press the brake the system dies and the car never leaves park.

Yeah and these days if someone breaks into your car and cuts his/her arm on the window they broke, you could also be sued for endangering innocent thieves. It's your fault if the glass breaks and they hurt themselves! All they were trying to do was break in!
